Vintage Viners of Sheffield Oval Gallery Tray - Alpha Plate Chased Drinks Salver

An exceptional vintage oval gallery tray by the highly regarded British manufacturer Viners of Sheffield. This elegant piece features their premium "Alpha Plate" finish, showcasing an intricately chased floral and scroll design on the base with an unengraved central cartouche. The tray is bordered by a beautiful, pierced gallery wall decorated with classic swags and a beaded rim.

The reverse is clearly stamped with the historic Viners marks: the "Corporate Mark Granted by The Cutlers Company 1836" crown symbol, "Alpha Plate", "Viners of Sheffield", "England", and "Chased".

Condition Report:
This tray is in good structural vintage condition and possesses a wonderful authentic character. Reflecting its age and use, there is some visible black pitting to the silver-plated surface on the face of the tray and a general aged patina to the gallery rim.
