A Nice Old Thing is a London-based antiques dealer specialising in carefully chosen vintage and antique objects sourced from fairs and markets across the UK and Europe.

We believe good things are worth looking after — and worth passing on.

Our Approach

Every piece we offer has been selected for its quality, character and condition. We’re drawn to objects that have been well cared for and still feel “just right” — not over-restored, not over-polished, simply understood.

We regularly attend major antiques fairs including Newark, as well as regional markets and European brocantes. Buying in person allows us to assess each piece carefully and choose only what meets our standards.

What We Look For

We are particularly interested in objects that combine practical beauty with quiet history — pieces that were made well and have endured.

Before being offered for sale, items are cleaned, assessed and photographed in-house. We aim to describe each piece honestly and accurately, with clear detail and no exaggeration.

Our Commitment

We take care in presentation, packaging and communication. Orders are packed securely and dispatched from the UK.
