This beautiful vintage silver plated salver is an exceptional piece of British presentation tableware, manufactured by the world-renowned silversmiths Mappin & Webb. Sourced at the prestigious Ardingly Antiques Fair, this elegant circular tray features a classic beaded rim profile flanking a beautifully detailed, chased surface pattern of floral wreaths, scrolling foliage, and traditional ribbons.

The reverse of the salver is stamped with the authentic, clear Mappin & Webb diamond maker's mark containing the initials "M & W", alongside the specific design pattern number "W2858".

The tray presents in great vintage condition, displaying a brilliant polished finish with a wonderful, soft silver glow. Reflecting its genuine age and domestic service, the surface shows some honest light pitting to the plating and fine polishing lines that settle into an attractive, authentic patina.
