Vintage Joseph Gloster Silver Plated Trinket Tray - Fluted Edwardian Style Pin Dish

A highly attractive vintage English silver-plated (EPNS) small round trinket tray manufactured by the prominent Birmingham silversmith Joseph Gloster Ltd. This elegant piece features a beautifully polished plain mirror-finish central field framed by a wide, decorative fluted rim decorated with repeating embossed floral starburst panels and a scalloped outer border. Its compact size makes it a wonderfully versatile tabletop accessory, perfect for use as a bedside jewelry dish, a luxury hallway key tray, a traditional pin dish, or an elegant candle stand.

The reverse is clearly stamped with the maker's mark "J & Co" inside a cartouche, the design production number 2859, and a classic series of four gothic pseudo-hallmarks (EPNS) designed to emulate solid silver markings.

Condition Report:
This tray is in very good vintage structural condition with a lovely bright mirror reflection across the main face. True to its age and authentic pre-owned nature, the polished surfaces display honest light cleaning micro-scratches and minor surface scuffs from careful historical handling.
