Antique Daniel & Arter EPNS Engraved Round Serving Tray - Birmingham C.1900
£39.95
An elegant antique late-Victorian or Edwardian electro-plated nickel silver (EPNS) round serving tray, sourced directly from Ardingly Antiques Fair. This beautiful salver is stamped on the reverse with the sought-after "D & A" pseudo-hallmarks alongside the EPNS stamp, identifying it as an authentic piece crafted by the prominent Birmingham silversmiths Daniel & Arter before 1920.
The tray features a classically stylized geometric starburst center surrounded by fine engraved floral and foliate detailing. The face is beautifully framed by an embossed reeded or gadrooned edge border that adds an authentic antique texture.
It is in great antique condition with a strong, highly reflective silver finish. It shows minor surface wear, light hairline cleaning scuffs, and very faint polishing swirls consistent with its long history and genuine age. A charming piece of British social history perfect for a serving platter, high-end bar cart display, or vanity tray. Please see the listing photographs with the visible ruler for exact scale.
