The face of the tray is decorated with highly intricate, chased scrolling foliage, floral swags, and a central unengraved cartouche, all framed by a classic pierced vertical gallery rim. The underside displays a clear, authentic script maker's stamp reading: "Silver Plated on Copper, Towle, Handcrafted in Sheffield, England".

The tray presents in great, straight vintage condition with an excellent, reflective silver plate across the front face. The underside exhibits some honest historical pitting and superficial scuffing from decades of domestic service, which settles into a lovely, genuine patina without affecting the structural integrity or display value of the piece.
