Vintage "The Three Bears" Red Dome-Top Confectionery Tin – Made in England

A highly collectible mid-century novelty tin manufactured by the prestigious Metal Box Co. (Mansfield branch). The lid features a delightful, vibrant vintage illustration from the classic Goldilocks nursery rhyme, showing the three bears discovering someone has been at their porridge. The front features the verse: "The Three Bears. And the Baby Bear said! Who's been eating my porridge?"
Condition Report:
- Exterior: The main lithograph graphics are clear, legible, and bright. The tin shows an authentic vintage patina. It was safely recovered from long-term cupboard storage; the front and sides are lovely, while the reverse side shows some light surface rust revealed after cleaning.
- Interior: Retains approximately 80% of its original protective internal tinning.
- Care: Professionally and gently archival-cleaned using Vulpex liquid soap and rinsed thoroughly with distilled water to stabilize the metal and preserve its historical finish.
