Vintage Scheurich Drip Glaze Floor Vase - Mid-Century Modern Ceramic Statement Piece (Form 217-42)
£54.95
An absolutely spectacular mid-century modern West German art pottery statement floor vase, manufactured by the highly collectible maker Scheurich Keramik. Standing at an impressive and substantial 42cm tall, this imposing cylindrical vase features a beautifully proportioned, tapered collared rim and a lustrous, high-gloss finish. The body showcases a magnificent banded drip glaze design, transitioning rhythmically between a creamy beige, a rich ochre orange, and a deep glossy chestnut brown, creating a striking layered sunset effect.
This fine specimen is exceptionally well-preserved and retains its original red and gold foil "scheurich" factory label on the upper shoulder. The underside is clearly embossed with the model form number "217-42" alongside "W. GERMANY".
Condition Report:
This vase is in excellent vintage condition, there is a tiny (and I mean tiny) chip to the glaze as shown in the pictures . The glossy multi-toned glaze retains its brilliant reflective shine, and the interior is exceptionally clean. A pristine, top-tier collector's example with fantastic visual presence.
