There is a wonderful sort of unapologetic, 1970s domestic romanticism to Susan Williams-Ellis’s Botanic Garden series for Portmeirion. It is the sort of pottery that manages to look entirely at home in a country pantry while remaining thoroughly collectible. This particular storage jar features the Gazania Ringens, or Treasure Flower, accompanied by a rather polite little butterfly hovering just above the pink petals.

Constructed from dense, heavy earthenware, it is topped with its original turned wooden lid and internal airtight seal. It is a solid, functional piece designed to sit on a counter and hold your coffee beans or loose tea without shifting an inch when you try to open it. An enduring piece of classic British design that simply refuses to go out of style.

Condition:
The ceramic body is in exceptionally crisp condition with vivid floral transfers and an excellent glossy glaze. No chips, structural cracks, or modern repairs. The wooden lid shows honest, historic surface wear and minor colour variations from years of real domestic use, saving you the absolute burden of keeping a pristine surface immaculate. The rubber seal remains intact and functional.

Dimensions:
• Height: 18.5 cm (approx. 7.25 inches to top of lid)
• Base Diameter: 11.5 cm
• Weight: 840 g
