A highly elegant mid-century modern vintage silver-plated round drinks tray manufactured by the British brand Ianthe. This beautiful salver showcases a very dense and crisp chased centre field packed with intricate baroque-revival foliate scrolls, floral panels, and traditional geometric cross-hatch panels surrounding an unengraved central cartouche. The rim is framed by a subtle, decorative cast border. It is a wonderfully sized piece, perfectly suited for displaying a cocktail shaker and glasses on a drinks trolley or acting as an elegant dining centerpiece.
The reverse features a textured brown faux-leather backing to protect tabletop surfaces and is inset with a central metallic plaque stamped: "MADE IN ENGLAND", "IANTHE", "SILVER PLATED".
Condition Report:
This tray is in very good vintage condition, exhibiting a lovely bright structural form and an excellent polished lustre. As an authentic pre-owned mid-century piece that has seen careful domestic use, the face exhibits light surface cleaning scratches, minor cleaning scuffs, and faint localised spots of tarnish within the intricate chased recesses.
