Vintage English Silver Plated Pierced Wine Bottle Coaster - Gadroon Rim Decanter Stand

A highly attractive vintage English silver-plated (EPNS) circular wine bottle or decanter coaster. This classic piece features a beautifully detailed, pierced gallery wall decorated with interlocking geometric trellis-work and a traditional gadroon (twisted rope style) top border. The interior base is intricately chased with an elegant floral and foliate scroll design that encircles a central polished cartouche. Perfectly designed to elevate a dining table or drinks trolley layout while safeguarding fine woodwork from bottle condensation and rings.

The underside is completely lined with a protective gray baize (felt) base layer to prevent any scratching to your tabletop surfaces, concealing any workshop or maker's marks.

Condition Report:
This coaster is in very good vintage structural condition and retains a bright, attractive mirror polish to the silver-plated exterior. Reflecting its history as a functional piece of barware, the interior face displays light surface scuffs and one minor, localized black tarnish/pitting mark near the inner gallery border, as shown in the close-up photographs. The pierced fretwork is completely straight and undamaged with no structural cracks.
