Large Vintage Scheurich 289-41 West German Pottery Floor Vase - Foligna Aztec Pattern

An impressive, large vintage West German pottery art ceramic floor vase, sourced directly from Detling Antiques Fair. Handcrafted by the renowned maker Scheurich during the iconic mid-century Fat Lava design era, the base features the clearly impressed model number "289-41" alongside the authentic "W. Germany" stamp. 

This substantial cylindrical stoneware vessel features the highly collectible "Foligna" or "Aztec" design. The robust body is moulded with striking, continuous alternating bands of high-relief geometric floral, circular, and block motifs. The glaze is finished in rich, earthy chocolate browns and warm caramel-ochre tones that settle beautifully into the recesses of the tactile textured patterns, creating a highly dimensional, glossy look. 

It is in excellent vintage condition with a vibrant, reflective glaze and absolutely no chips, cracks, or restoration.
