Large Antique James Dixon Sons Silver Plated Footed Salver Tray 14" Sheffield

An impressive, large antique English silver-plated footed serving salver/tray, manufactured by the celebrated silversmiths James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield, England. Measuring a substantial 14 inches (35.5cm) in diameter, this heavy tray sits elegantly on small raised decorative feet.

The design features a polished, minimalist central mirror field framed by a beautiful, crisp stamped border of repeating stylized foliate/heart motifs and finished with a neat beaded rim. The base features a wonderful cluster of early pseudo-hallmarks alongside the pattern number Y3337 and the "Made in England" provenance stamp.

Condition: In good antique condition.  Light surface scuffs from historic polishing as expected for its age.
