An authentic piece of late 19th-century French culinary history, this heavy-gauge solid copper jam pan (bassine à confiture) brings timeless rustic charm to the modern home.

Weighing nearly 1.9kg, this professional-grade basin features a traditional wide, flared rim and is fitted with two robust, hand-riveted cast brass side handles. The interior rim features stamped professional foundry size numbers (3 and 8). True to historic French preserve making, the interior is crafted from solid, unlined bare copper, allowing for perfect heat distribution.

A spectacular, heavy-duty statement piece for the kitchen. While completely functional for open-kettle preserve making, it also serves beautifully as a rustic countertop fruit bowl, log basket, or centerpiece display.
