A classic vintage Hornsea Pottery ceramic tea canister, sourced directly from Detling Antiques Fair. Designed by John Clappison, this piece features the iconic, highly collectible "Heirloom" geometric pattern in the popular Autumn Brown colourway. The base is clearly stamped with the authentic "Hornsea England 1973 Heirloom" maker's mark.
The canister features an intricate, interlocking relief pattern glazed in a rich, glossy caramel and deep chocolate brown. It is fitted with its original oiled wood lid and white rubber sealing ring, epitomising the premium quality of 1970s British kitchenware design.
This piece is in perfect vintage condition with a brilliant, highly reflective glaze. There are absolutely no chips, cracks, crazing, or signs of wear to either the ceramic body or the wooden lid. The rubber ring maintains a strong, tight suction seal. A pristine example of retro British design, perfect for immediate kitchen use or display.
