Vintage English Silver Plated Pierced Wine Bottle Coaster - Chased Barware Decanter Stand

An exceptionally clean vintage English silver-plated (EPNS) circular wine bottle or decanter coaster, featuring a beautifully pierced gallery wall decorated with precise geometric latticework. The interior base is exquisitely detailed with deep, crisp foliate scroll chasing and floral engraving, surrounding a central polished blank cartouche. This highly practical piece of traditional barware is perfectly sized to hold a standard wine bottle, champagne bottle, or spirit decanter, protecting tabletop surfaces while adding a layer of classic sophistication to a dining setting or drinks trolley.

The underside is cleanly stamped with the manufacturing provenance marks: "E.P.B", "MADE IN ENGLAND", and the individual factory pattern mold reference number "3". The "E.P.B" stamp represents Electroplated Britannia Metal, indicating a premium, heavy silver plate over a high-quality pewter-like alloy base.

Condition Report:
This coaster is in outstanding vintage condition and retains a magnificent, bright mirror-like luster. It has been beautifully preserved, showing no silver plate breakthrough, no black pitting, and no bubbling to either the interior chased face or the outer pierced gallery. It displays only the lighter surface wiping micro-scratches on the reverse from careful historical handling. The interior remains exceptionally clean and ready for immediate display or use.
