A charming vintage solid cast brass door knocker, sourced directly from Detling Antiques Fair. This heavy-gauge, tactile piece of front door hardware features an intricate, high-relief depiction of the historic galleon ship Mayflower under full sail, complete with a lower banner bearing the vessel's name.

The knocker features a traditional two-piece design, consisting of the detailed decorative main ship face hinged to a solid rear striking arm that fixes securely through your door. The casting is beautifully executed, allowing the warm, polished highlights of the brass to contrast with the deeper, authentic oxidisation in the recessed details.

It is in very good vintage functional condition with a strong, smooth hinge mechanism.
