This vintage round silver-plated salver (or waiter tray) is a beautifully bright, highly polished reminder of that entertaining standard.

The plain, mirror-like central reservoir is framed by an intensely chased, swirling border of traditional baroque-style florals, acanthus leaves, and textured basketweave panels. This deep pattern isn't merely ornamental; it was intentionally executed to create surface texture, preventing glassware from sliding about during service.

Entirely devoid of heavy historic wear or thin spots, it is an exceptionally clean, practical piece of vintage table barware. It is perfectly sized to support a cocktail shaker and two glasses, or to act as a highly reflective drop-zone for keys, jewelry, or perfumes on a vanity.

Condition Report:
In excellent, remarkably bright vintage condition throughout. The silver plating has been thoroughly polished and retains a brilliant, uniform high-shine finish with excellent reflective clarity. The front face shows no notable plate loss, dark pitting, or base-metal bleed. The reverse carries a brushed satin finish and is cleanly stamped with a generic "SILVERPLATED" mark.

Dimensions

• Diameter: Approx 12.2 inches (31 cm)

https://aniceoldthing.com/products/vintage-round-silver-plated-salver-deeply-chased-floral-drinks-tray
